Appellation: Mendoza, Argentina
Food Pairing Suggestions: Beef, Venison
Wine Critic Reviews:
Patricio Tapia - Descorchados: 91/100 (2018 Vintage Tasted: Jan 2021)
"This is Achaval's generic malbec, and it comes from five farms in both Luján de Cuyo and Valle de Uco, 40% from their own vineyards and the rest from producers. With about eight months of aging in barrels, all made of used wood, this Malbec has a profile of very ripe red fruits with hints of violets and spices in a medium body, well-polished tannins and fresh acidity, as is usual in reds from home."
Tim Atkin: 90/100 (2018 Vintage Tasted: Feb 2019)
