Representing the best of Oregon’s east and west wine growing regions, the 2017 vintage of Grand Cheval beautifully combines traits of both. Dark fruit and mocha envelope the palate, with firm but integrated tannins built to age. Bright acidity and a liveliness on the palate ensures balance. This wine is the quintessence of power and strength, while still speaking to its roots in Oregon.

A blend of Pinot Noir and Syrah, this is dominated initially with scents and flavors of vanilla. Aggressive aeration opens it up, and the Syrah begins to show more of its presence, with blue and black fruits and a layer of coffee. Though the blend is unusual, the polish and overall balance makes this an interesting alt-red for beef and grilled meats.
